Study kanji more than you think you need to. There is no such thing as too much kanji study.

Chase from Summer Short 2019

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I particularly enjoyed our bus trip and visiting Erin-ji. I study Buddhism in University so that was definitely the highlight of my trip.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most interesting part of this program was becoming friends with students who I could only communicate with in Japanese. It taught me how to exercise my language skills and create friendships at the same time. The most productive part of this program was definitely it's emphasis on pronunciation.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The pair work and listening tests were particularly helpful.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

The school will make sure that your experience is enjoyable, and they will do their best to accommodate to your needs. If you have never been to Japan and want to experience studying in this country I highly recommend KCP. They will give you the true ‘Japan school life experience.
